Project Description

First year students at Amfi (Amsterdam Fashion Institute) are required to make an inspiration book: during this five-week projects, students collect inspiring images and articles about fashion, art, architecture, nature, technical innovations, politics, literature etcetera. A selection of these inspirations are collected in a thematic, well designed inspiration book including fabrics and materials. Analyzing, finding connections and understanding and indicating contemporary culture are the basis of this project. As a workshop teacher, I guide the students in this process; as a writing teacher I help them to articulate their sources of inspiration.
